Derick is currently an Academic Advisor at Cal Poly Pomona in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences. He is originally from Long Beach, Ca but grew up in San Bernardino County. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University, San Bernardino and received his Master’s of Science in College Counseling and Student Development from Azusa Pacific University. Derick brings a wealth of personal and professional experiences in Career Services, Admissions, and Academic Advising. He has a passion for helping students reach their career goals during their college journey. He also enjoys hiking and reading motivational books.
